Ye Ko Ghana, West Africa – Summer 2009!

The Marin School has been traveling to West Africa since 1999. Over this summer, ten members of its community journeyed for three weeks across Ghana visiting its people and viewing its remarkable landscapes, plants and animals. Jeff Sandler put together this photo journal of the trip. The student participants were Bryan Nickerson, Mollie Wilson, Robert Little, Natalie Williamson, Jack Donnelly, Lily Boyce, Emma George and Daniel Stolberg.

This was my sixth trip to Ghana with the Marin School and, once again, it was an amazing success. We were welcomed exuberantly and all the “highlights” came off without a hitch. Of course, the moments between the highlights are what really make up the experience. This year’s group kept its upbeat attitude and we had an AWESOME time.

I look forward to returning again in 2011.
