The Marin School Presents

"Evolutionary Architecture: Redesigning Reality

For a Sustainable Global Future"

Eugene Tsui, Ph.D. in person

Wednesday, March 9, 7-8:30 pm
Award-winning architect and clothing designer, Eugene Tsui, will present his revolutionary ideas about how to rebuild and reorganize our world by bringing the laws of nature into harmony with the newest human inventions. Eugene's pioneering theory of biomimetics combines nature's simplest designs with the newest technologies to show how our most basic needs - housing, clothing and food - can be provided globally in ways that are elegant, equitable and enjoyable. We'll screen a short documentary about Eugene's work, followed by a showing of his spectacular, eco-friendly fashion designs, than a conversation and Q & A. Eugene holds professional degrees in architecture, city and regional planning, and education. He works and teaches in the US and China, and lectures around the world. Please join us for an uplifting vision of a creative and sustainable future.

Keith Hubert, TMS teacher, publishes book on Ghana

Every other summer, Keith Hubert, TMS math teacher, leads students on a three-week trip across Ghana visiting its people and viewing its remarkable landscapes, plants and animals. Prior to joining TMS, Keith lived and worked in Ghana; teaching for the Peace Corp.

Keith has captured the essence of this beautiful country and its remarkable people in his recently published book, "Living Gold: People and Places of Ghana." His photos of the people, places, festivals and native animals are beautiful; leaving us with the desire to make the next trip to Ghana with Keith and his students!
